Too Big For a Bathtub

When Jared was little we would give him a bath in his baby tub that fit so nicely in the kitchen sink... But recently he doesn't fit into this little tub, but I thought that he was too little for the big kids tub. I was so wrong. One bath day, I decided to put all three kids in the tub and along with toys and bubbles , Jared thought that this was the place to be. He spent about 45 mins in the tub with his sisters playing and laughing and splashing, he loves taking a bath in the big kids tub now!

MY BROBEE

There is this tv show on Nickelodeon, its called Yo! Gabba Gabba! It is a really weird show that would have been something you would see in the early 90's. They sing songs about how kids should behave and things they should do to be good to their friends and family. In the show there is this little green character with green stripes and long arms, his name is Brobee.

Ever since Jared was born he has been watching this show, it is one of the few that holds his attention for the full length of the show. So one day were at the store and we saw that they finally came out with the characters from Yo! Gabba Gabba! and we thought we would get the kids their favorite characters but they only had Brobee, the girls dont really like Brobee, so I gave it to Jared and ever since then this new toy have become lovey... he used to carry blankets around but now it is this Brobee.

He sleeps with it, takes it on trips and when he is teething it is he favorite chew toy. But his favorite thing is to watch his favorite tv show with his equally favorite stuffed toy, his Brobee!

PLAY BALL

Elizabeth tried to teach her little brother to roll the ball and play catch. He was just so excited to have the ball in his lap that he really wasnt playing properly. Mommy had to sit behind Jared and show him how to roll the ball to his sister. After a couple of times of Mommy helping Jared he started to get the hang of it and tried his best to roll the ball to Elizabeth. After a while Jared started to get frustrated with rolling the ball and just wanted to hold onto it, but Elizabeth wanted to play with it. So after a bit it what was a nice game of ball turned to a screaming fest, but not before I got the good pics of kids not screaming!

Jamie turns 4!

I have come to the decision that I hate children's birthday parties especially when I am the one throwing them. It seems that other parents think that they would just drop their 4 or 5 kids off a t a party and then drive away leaving the mom in charge with almost 12 kids at a time, surrounded by cake and ice cream and all manner of sugar and candies. But not me I refuse to be that mom who gets stuck with the neighbourhood kids at a birthday party for one of my kids. This is how I always felt, even before I had kids. So early on in our parenting we decided that after the first birthday what we would do is have family birthday parties, that way it would be less expensive and we could go anywhere that the kids wanted to go for their birthday! As the kids got older they would be allowed to invited their best friends along with us to our birthday destination and we would all have a nice dinner somewhere!

We thought that the kids would enjoy going to the dinosaur park or on a hike or even camping, but not Jamie what she wanted to do for her birthday was to go swimming. So that is exactly what we did. The Saturday after her birthday we took the kids down to the Davis County Rec plex for a afternoon of swimming.

I didnt go into the pool because I had little Jared with me and he didnt have a swimsuit so we had to sit out this time. However, Lizzy's birthday is coming up soon and she is set on going to the local farimington pool so that she can go down the slide!

This in my opinion is, a better way to spend your birthday doing the things we love doing with our family... Oh yeah Jamie didnt want cake for her birthday but she did want icecream so after a long day at the pool we came home and the girls had a scoop of each of their favorite icecream. Jamie had a scoop of mint chocolate chip, chocolate fudge brownie, strawberry cheesecake toped with some hot fudge... YUM!

Me And My Purple Shoes

I was desperate for some new shoes when my old ones broke last summer and I was stuck with boots and clunky shoes for the winter, but now that it was heating up and I wasnt pregnant I thought to myself now is the time to get some really great shoes the kinds that you get noticed with!

So we headed out to some great stores that had these amazing shoes but not the kinds that stand out, these shoes were just black, brown or tan! I wanted color! Usually I stay away from too much color so that my outfits dont clash, but I heard on E! that color was totally in so I was going to finally be part of the new fashions again even if that was just my shoes.

Finally I saw these great looking bright yellow shoes and thought to myself "Wow I would look great in Yellow, but what would I wear with it?" so I put the shoes back... I started thinking about my wardrobe and decided that a soft pink or red shoes would be great, red goes with everything. But then in the distance something bright purple caught my eye... I walked up to and was so disappointed to know that there was only the left side in the box and it seemed to be the only purple shoes on the self... I started hunting frantically for the other side, under chairs in other boxes, etc but nothing. So I sat down frustrated and then Jared came in and said he would find a employee to help, and she did she found a box with my size and both pairs in the box. I tried on the shoes and the were amazing!

So I bought them and they were really inexpensive ... my kind of deal! And now I will proudly wear this bright purple shoes that literally kill my feet where ever I go in the name of fashion! Now I have to find some purple clothes to match my purple shoes!
MY GREEN HOODIE

This was one of those days where it wasn't too hot or too cold, but cold enough where you needed a light jacket or sweater. As we riffled through Little Jared's clothes we discovered that he had neither a light jacket or a light sweater. He had out grown almost all of his 3-6 mth old clothes. We had clothes that were one size bigger but they were mostly summer clothes. Then Jared rememberd that we had his old hoodie set aside in the girls room that he wore when he was little and that the girls wore when they were little as well. So we started to pull things out of drawers and shelves in search for the green hoodie that we put away so that we wouldnt lose it but we lost it anyways. Finally we found it but to our disappointment it looked to small for our growing little boy. But we decided to put it on him anyways just for the day, till we could get a new one!

Luckily he did fit in it, the sleeves were long enough but the snap buttons almost didnt snap with our sons growing tummy! Once he was in his new hoodie I started taking pictures because Jared didnt believe that his son looked exactly like him in that sweater so here is the proof.

EASTER SUNDAY

What a busy month that we had... we were so busy that we forgot to get the kids some easter clothes... Thankfully Grandma Chase sent a package in the mail a few days before Easter that was these great dresses that she and Grandpa Chase made for the girls. We were so happy that these dresses came, the girls didn't have any thing new to wear for the holidays.

Once we arrived in church we were bombarded with compliments of how adorable the girls looked in their new dresses, people started asking where we bought them and how much did we pay. Apparently they all thought that we payed about $60 for each dress! Everyone was surprised to know that they weren't bought but made by Grandma and Grandpa. What a real treat for our girls.
