General Conference.

Conference week is always a good week, it is a time to listen to the Prophet and heed his councel so that we can better our lives. We were blessed to have the opportunity to attend the second session on Sunday with my friend Dawn and her friends. It was a great meeting and we learned so much.
After we walked around temple square and took some pics... alot of them were with other people that we dont know so these are a few of the really good ones that we had on our camera!

We Jammin...

Jared is such a character... he has so many different looks and here is one of them. He is wearing his daddy's Jamaican beanie hat, with all the traditional colors.
We thought that he looked so cute, but the expression on his face was ' Ire' that means cool in Jamaican! If this continues he might grow some dread locks!

Cafe Rio with Dawn

Here we are at Cafe Rio with my friend Dawn Lutchman and her friend Tina and Dawn's fiancee Allen, she was in town for conference weekend. It was great seeing her, the last time that I saw here was 6 years ago. This was the first time that she saw the kids and Jared. It was a great day.
Dawn and her sister Seema were like sisters to me when I was growing up. I tagged along with them to all the church meeting and school stuff. It was great to have them around. Dawn served her mission in Washington,D.C and Seema serverd in Florida. They were a big part of my life as I entered into Laurels. I spent the night at there house almost every weekend... good times. It was great seeing her and her friends. We hope to do this again soon!
I can drive a car all by myself

Jared was so excited to ride this little car that Aubie had at her house. He even managed to sit on it without help, but only for a little while. Then Lizzy wanted to help him so that he didn't fall off. Jared loves this little car so if anyone wants to buy him a gift here is your hint!

Hanging out with Aubie

So, Levi asked me to babysit Aubie while he and Jared went snowboarding this past weekend. I had a great time playing with all four kids, we blew bubbles, read stories, played tea party and even got to watch a movie. It was lots of fun.

Aubie loves it when the girls come over, she gets to play pretend with 'big kids' and Lizzy really takes care of her and makes sure that she gets a turn at whatever they are doing and watches her so she doesn't get into mischief.

Aubie doesn't speak yet but she does know some sign language other than that, I depend on Lizzy to translate what Aubie is trying to say!

Aubie is also very interested in little Jared and spent alot of time babbling to him and holding his hand. She even tried her best to keep quiet while he was taking a nap. She is such a good girl... she will make a great big sister!

Coughing, sneezing and fevers .. Oh My!!!

So we started off in April with three sick kids... all three were coughing, sneezing, they had high fevers and runny noses. What is a mother to do, so I got the kids in warm clothes .. gave them some medicine and set them on the floor with their favorite blanket and favorite toys. None of the kids were hungry for breakfast so we held out till lunch time... the girls had a PB and J sandwich and Jared had 2ozs of his bottle. Then it was time for a nap. After nap time daddy came home and the girls felt a little bit better... During the night no one got much sleep what with all the coughing and sneezing. Jared and I got about 3 hrs of sleep that night... Luckily for us the next day was Saturday and we all spent it napping! This was a bad week!

Jared vs. Strep Throat!!!

Jared came home one afternoon feeling 'horrible'! So he took a hot shower and went to bed, it was like 7pm. The next morning he felt worse with a sore throat and a high fever. I kept him in bed and gave him some Ibprophen and some soda for the itchy and sore throat! I thought that by noon he would be feeling a bit better. But he still had a fever and his throat was still really sore!. I started to get worried and I called Susie. She said to keep an eye on him because he might have Strep Throat! He didnt get any better at all through the night. The next morning he went to the clinic to get tested to see if he had Strep Throat or worse. I was confrimed he had Strep. I lasted about a week, he was miserable through the entire time. He tried to sleep but his throat hurt too much even with the medicine.

Thankfully he got better within a few long days, and even better the kids and I didnt get Strep Throat... which was a mircle because I was the one taking care of him and all three kids! That was a blessing that I counted that week!
